The National Homeowners Advocate Group, LLC (National HAGS for short) was founded by Harvella Jones who lost her homestead due to a homeowner association foreclosure in 1995.  She and her husband Johnnie founded The Texas Homeowner's Advocate Group now a pending charitable organization.  The National Homeowners Advocate Group, LLC is the only homeowner advocate group in the nation founded by a homeowner who actually experienced a homestead foreclosure due to non payment of maintenance fees. 

Every year she and members of her group testify in Austin, Texas on behalf of homeowners.  The testimony concerns pro-homeowner property bills.  Next session the group will be pursuing anti-foreclosure bills and defeating any Texas Uniformed Planned Community legislation. 

The focus of this group was expanded to include areas hardest hit by homeowner association abuse such as Arizona, California and Florida.  This group's focus has also expanded to every state in the United States because we get complaints from all over the United States and have learned there is homeowner association abuse all over the country.
