In 2007, homeowners were threatened with a proposed law called TUPCA (The Texas Uniformed Planned Community Act) in which it would have taken our property rights to a level similar to the slave-plantation setup. http://writeyourownstories.com/article.cfm?articleID=17030 The National Homeowners Advocate Group, LLC members and other advocates throughout the state testified at various hearings, wrote letters, made phone calls, emailed legislators and visited their legislator's offices to destroy the passing of the TUPCA bill. This was one of our greatest victories as homeowners advocates. Following is more information concerning this threat. Read and educate yourself. Being educated and informed is the best way to protect your property rights.
